Automations run things for you when something happens: post new alerts to a channel, run an assistant agent on them, invite people to a war room, call an external API, or name war-room channels the way your team expects.

Where to find it: Settings → Shared Resources → Automation Actions (and War room channel in the same group).

  1. Automation Actions overview — triggers, conditions, actions, the Slack/Teams compatibility matrix, examples, and troubleshooting.
  2. Invoke REST connection — call an external HTTP endpoint from an automation, with placeholders for alert and incident fields, and write values from the response back onto the alert.
  3. Add a Slack Channel by ID or Link — pick a channel when the channel list will not load.
  4. Automation actions in Microsoft Teams — what differs when your chat app is Teams.
  5. Configure War Room Channel Names — default vs custom naming for new war-room channels.

Running an AI agent on alerts is set up here but explained under AI → Run Assistant Agent.
