Notification policies let organization administrators define minimum notification requirements for on-call alerts. Instead of overriding personal preferences, policies set a baseline — and members can see at a glance whether they meet it.
This feature follows a compliance and reminder model. Your personal notification preferences are never silently changed. Policies flag gaps and offer a one-click fix.
Admins configure required notification channels (Push, SMS, Phone, Email) for each incident priority level. Members keep full control of their personal preferences but see whether they meet the policy. If not, a single click brings them into compliance — adding what's missing without removing anything they already have.
Organization administrators create and manage notification policies from the Notification Policies page under Settings.
Once a policy is saved for a priority, that priority shows a Policy active badge. The policy takes effect immediately — members will see their compliance status the next time they visit their notification preferences.
To remove a policy for a specific priority, click Remove policy next to that priority's row. Once removed, that priority has no minimum requirements — members manage it entirely on their own.

Policies set minimums, not replacements. If a member already has SMS, Phone, and Push configured, and the policy only requires SMS and Push, the member is compliant — their Phone channel is untouched.
