Muting temporarily pauses paging for a single alert. The alert stays open and resumes paging automatically when the mute period ends. It's the mobile counterpart to muting from the web app or Slack, and the mute state stays in sync across all three.

When you can mute

Mute is available for alerts only (not incidents), while the alert is Open or Acknowledged. Once an alert is muted you can change the duration or clear it at any time.

Where to mute

There are three entry points, and they all open the same mute duration sheet:

• Home (Alerts) — on an alert card, tap the mute button (clock icon).
• Library — long-press an alert and choose Mute.
• Alert detail — tap the mute button (clock icon) in the bottom action bar.

Choosing a duration

Pick how long to pause paging:

• 15 min · 30 min · 1 hour · 3 hours · 6 hours · 12 hours · 24 hours

These match the mute durations available on web and Slack.

When an alert is already muted, the sheet title reads Muted and shows Muted until [time] (the time follows your personal timezone and your 12h / 24h preference). Tap Unmute to resume paging immediately.

What muting does — and doesn't do

• Pauses paging for that alert until the mute expires — no notifications during the window.
• Keeps the alert open. Muting is not the same as acknowledging or resolving; the alert still needs handling.
• Resumes automatically when the period ends.
• Stays in sync across web, Slack, and mobile — mute or unmute on any surface and it reflects everywhere.
