Overview

The Postmortem view is where every Vibranium Labs user writes the story of an incident after it resolves: what happened, why it happened, and what we'll do differently next time. It lives inside the incident detail page (Dashboard → Incidents → ‹incident›) as a tab next to AI Summary in the Analysis column.

This page is the record of an incident and how teammates learn from it.

Keeping postmortems written and shared matters most for follow-through: an incident without a postmortem is an incident the team will repeat.

What You Can Do

The Postmortem tab exposes three things, plus a separate page for managing reusable templates:

• AI Summary tab — the auto-generated summary of the incident; the entry point you'll usually see first.
• Postmortem tab (right of AI Summary) — a full Markdown editor when writing, and a read-only viewer once published. Toggle between tabs without losing your draft.
• Share button — copies a deep link to the postmortem so a teammate can open the same incident with the Postmortem tab focused on load.
• Postmortem Templates page (Settings → Postmortem Templates) — a separate area for creating, editing, and deleting reusable templates that seed new postmortems.

Postmortem moved out of its own collapsible section. It used to be a standalone block stacked below the incident panels. It's now a tab inside the Analysis column — same content, fewer clicks, no more expand/collapse step.

Writing a Postmortem

Step 1: Open the Incident

1. Sign in to App.
2. Click Dashboard in the left sidebar, then Incidents.
3. Click the incident you want to document.
4. The incident page opens with three columns: Timeline, Analysis, and Discussion.
