Overview

Coverage is the section of the Settings sidebar that controls which team's data you're looking at when you browse team-scoped settings like On-Call, Configuration, and Administration. It lives in the middle of the Settings sidebar, just below Shared Resources.

You change your Coverage by clicking the Team Switcher Row under the "Coverage" label and picking either Global (your whole organization) or one specific team.

Every member can now use Coverage, not just admins. Picking the right Coverage matters most for on-call: if you're looking at the wrong team, the schedules and rotations you see won't be the ones you're actually responsible for.

What Coverage Controls

Coverage is per-user, not per-org. Your selection is saved for your account and persists across sessions. Switching Coverage does not change anything for your teammates — it only changes what you see.

Who Sees What in Coverage

Everyone sees Global in the Team Switcher dropdown. The list of teams below Global depends on which teams you've been assigned to — not on your role:

The role-based difference shows up after you pick Global, not in the dropdown itself. When Coverage = Global:

Picking Global lets you view org-wide data, but it doesn't give a member access to admin-only sections. The Configuration and Administration sidebar groups only render for admins.
